Cookie policy
The short version: the app sets strictly necessary cookies only. This marketing site can also set analytics cookies, and it sets none of them until you press Accept on the banner. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers anywhere, and the app itself is not measured at all.
1. Cookies we set
- Session cookie (app only): keeps you signed in to your account. Set when you log in, removed when you log out or the session expires. Strictly necessary.
- Security cookies (app only): protect sign-in and forms against cross-site request forgery. Strictly necessary.
2. Local storage
We use your browser's local storage (not a cookie, never sent to our servers) for two things, both of them your own choices: your theme, under the key postauto-theme, and your answer to the cookie banner, under postauto-consent.
3. Analytics, on this site only, and only if you agree
This marketing site uses Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to count which pages people read. It loads with every storage permission set to denied, so nothing is written and no identifier is created until you press Accept. Press Decline, or ignore the banner entirely, and the site behaves exactly as it did before: Google is told the visit was refused, which lets it produce an anonymous estimate without storing anything on your device.
app.postauto.io carries no analytics at all. There is no tag on the product, so what you draft, schedule and publish inside your own account is not measured by anybody. That is a deliberate line rather than an oversight: the app is where your work is.
Your answer is remembered in local storage under postauto-consent, so you are asked once per browser. Clearing your site data asks again.
4. Other third-party cookies
None. During checkout, Stripe (our payment processor) may set its own cookies on Stripe-hosted pages for fraud prevention; those are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy.
5. If this changes
If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this page first and, where consent is required, ask for it before setting anything.
