Postauto
Awaiting network approval

Google Business Profile post scheduler

Schedule listing updates, one photo per update, a button to Google Business Profile

Draft once, pick your Google Business Profile channel next to any other network you post to, and set the time. Postauto holds the limit of 1,500 characters against your draft, departs every channel at that minute, and tells you what Google Business Profile did with it.

Friday cupping. Six lots from the same farm.

The rules

The Google Business Profile rules Postauto works to

Taken from Google Business Profile's own developer documentation, not from a marketing page.

Count your draft against this limit, and against every other network at the same time. No account needed.

Google Business Profile publishing specification
Content types Listing updates, One photo per update, A button
Character limit 1,500 characters
Media rules One image per update, fetched by Google from a public URL. Video is not published: a local post's media carries a photo
Account requirement A Google account that manages one verified Business Profile location, connected by OAuth
Availability Early access (built, awaiting platform approval)

Early access: built, awaiting platform approval

Two things have to happen at Google before anyone can connect. The Business Profile APIs are not visible in a Google Cloud project until Google approves a separate access request, and the Google app that carries the permission is still in Testing, where a grant expires after seven days. The integration is built and tested and waiting on both.

Departure

What happens to a Google Business Profile post

  • In the composer

The 1,500 limit is checked before you schedule

Write once, tick your Google Business Profile account alongside anything else you post to, and the counter runs against 1,500 characters while you type. Over the limit means you cannot schedule, not a failure tomorrow morning.

  • On the board

Departures, not a spreadsheet of rows

Scheduled posts line up by time. You see what leaves next, what already departed, and what needs a look, without opening anything.

  • After it leaves

A Google Business Profile result of its own

Every channel reports separately. A Google Business Profile rejection does not stop the other networks, and the network's own error text is shown on the board in plain language.

  • At rest

    Credentials encrypted with AES-256-GCM

Your Google Business Profile credentials are encrypted before they reach the database, are never logged in plaintext, and are decrypted only at the moment of publishing.

Per-channel results

You can see what each network did

One post, one row per channel. Departed channels carry a link to the live post; a failed channel carries the network's own error text, so you know whether to fix the wording, the media, or the connection.

A departed post's detail page in a demo workspace: the message, three channels each with its own status and permalink, and the tags card.

Send the same draft to

Tick these next to Google Business Profile in the composer and they all leave at the same time.

Google Business Profile scheduling questions

What can I publish to Google Business Profile with Postauto?

Listing updates, One photo per update, A button. One image per update, fetched by Google from a public URL. Video is not published: a local post's media carries a photo.

What is the Google Business Profile character limit?

1,500 characters. The Postauto composer checks this limit against every account you select before the post is scheduled, so nothing fails at departure time over length.

What do I need to connect Google Business Profile?

A Google account that manages one verified Business Profile location, connected by OAuth.

Is Google Business Profile scheduling available on Postauto right now?

The Google Business Profile integration is fully built and tested, and is in early access while the network's app review completes. Two things have to happen at Google before anyone can connect. The Business Profile APIs are not visible in a Google Cloud project until Google approves a separate access request, and the Google app that carries the permission is still in Testing, where a grant expires after seven days. The integration is built and tested and waiting on both.

Anything specific to Google Business Profile I should know?

An update goes to ONE verified location, and Postauto refuses to guess when a Google account manages several rather than posting to the wrong shop. Postauto publishes the What's new kind of update; Google's Event and Offer posts need dates and coupon codes a post has no room for. Google removed per-post statistics for local posts in 2023, so this channel reports no numbers and says so rather than showing zeroes.

Can I post to Google Business Profile and other networks at the same time?

Yes. One composer publishes to any mix of your connected channels, and each network's limits are checked per selected channel. Every channel departs at the same scheduled time.

What happens if a Google Business Profile post fails?

Each channel reports its own result. If Google Business Profile rejects a post, your other selected networks still publish, the post is marked partial, and the board shows a readable error for the failed channel.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes 1 channel · 15 posts a month, no card required.
