Write once, tick your X account alongside anything else you post to, and the counter runs against 280 characters while you type. Over the limit means you cannot schedule, not a failure tomorrow morning.

What is the X character limit?
280 characters. The Postauto composer checks this limit against every account you select before the post is scheduled, so nothing fails at departure time over length.
What do I need to connect X?
Any X account via OAuth; no business account needed.
Is X scheduling available on Postauto right now?
The X integration is fully built and tested. It is in early access while we finish connecting Postauto's X application, which is on us rather than on the network. Publishing runs on the official pay-per-use X API. Usage cost is included in Postauto plans.
Anything specific to X I should know?
X is the network that used to be called Twitter: same accounts, same handles, one API. X access tokens rotate every 2 hours; Postauto refreshes them automatically before every publish. The composer enforces the character limit against your selected accounts before you can schedule.
Can I post to X and other networks at the same time?
Yes. One composer publishes to any mix of your connected channels, and each network's limits are checked per selected channel. Every channel departs at the same scheduled time.
What happens if a X post fails?
Each channel reports its own result. If X rejects a post, your other selected networks still publish, the post is marked partial, and the board shows a readable error for the failed channel.
